Beal Feirste Caitz 1-2 Horror Avenue 2nd

Horror Avenue came from a goal behind to win this League Cup 2nd round tie 2-1 at Keyes Road last night. A Division 7 top two encounter that lived up to expectations especially in the second half which saw three goals and a sending off.
Horror Avenue were reduced to 10 men on 58 when Marc Ismay was send off for a cynical tackle on Freki Gritdal, the young Caitz striker eventually having to be subbed a short time later as it was obvious he was struggling after the tackle. With the extra man Beal Feirste went 1-0 up, Alan Mulligan heading in on 70 but Horror Avenue to their credit kept at it and goals from Peter Dunne two minutes later and Zeleny Pavlovich (86) sent Avenue into the next round.
In his post match interview Beal Feirste manager JohnGeeTee refused to be drawn on suggestions that their opponents came with an overly aggressive game plan drawn out by their high foul count. "We had a great chance to progress, an extra man and a goal up on our own turf. We have only ourselves to blame and I wish them well for the next round. I'm disappointed of course after our excellent start to the season but this team has great mental strength and all we can do is take this result and use it as a learning curve "
